The FALCOM STEPP II is a Plug & Play GSM/GPRS/GPS terminal with embedded configurable software. It is ideal as a mobile client in a wide range of high volume, low-cost, flexible system solutions such as fleet management and vehicle security & recovery.
Its tracking functionality is combined with a variety of alert messaging capabilities. The configurable alert messages contain current position and status reports and use 4 digital and 2 analogue inputs as a hardware backbone. In addition to the two predefined digital inputs, there are inputs for detecting ignition line and main power (car battery) failure. The integrated two audio channels also allow for voice communication.
The STEPP II reduces the effort required for creating a turn key tracking and security solution. It helps reduce the time-to-market, the design-in risk and the total cost of solution.
