Build your own Fleet Management service
Fit your clients’ vehicle with our recommended telematics device that has built in GPS and GSM modules and supports GSM voice messaging, text messaging, data calls and GPRS. We currently support the Falcom GmbH Stepp II but can support other devices if you would like us to.
In the field
The Stepp II can be configured to periodically transmit its position - based on signals it receives from GPS satellites orbiting the earth - as a GPS reading, either as a text message or a GPRS message at distance and time intervals of your choosing. It can be configured to send a text or GPRS message whenever events or preset alarms are activated e.g. Battery Disconnect, Ignition On/Off or a Panic Button is pressed. Text messages and GPRS data are delivered to the nearest GSM transmitter.
At our data centre
Text messages are forwarded over the GSM network to a modem connected to servers at our data centre where they are processed. GPRS messages are delivered over the internet and arrive instantly at our datacenter.
Vehicle information is immediately verified and processed for display on digital maps and to generate user friendly reports. Because of cost differences in sending text messages and GPRS data in different countries we give you the flexibility to choose the most economical method of data transmission for your business.
At your office
As a fleet management service provider you can monitor your customers' assets both locally from your offices and when you are traveling via the web.
MxTRAK has been designed so that you can access vehicle positions on digital maps and run reports over the web using a simple web interface. However if you are limited by slow internet speeds or intermittent internet access, our servers can replicate key data onto your own server. You can then view vehicle positions on digital maps and run reports locally from your offices using our desktop client.
Using the MxTRAK website you can log on and make live requests to find out your vehicles current positions and status. Additionally, you can make voice calls in order to communicate urgent instructions with the driver.
